Sound Blaster text file support for Dndbbs v5.0a r2.0a:

The following describes Sound Blaster support.

The default command for setting the BLASTER environment is as follows:

    SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 H5 P330 T3 V13

Note: All values should be uppercase.

 Where:

    A - Specifies the base I/O port
I - Specifies the interrupt request line
    D - Specifies the 8-bit DMA channel
    E - Specifies AWE 32 only
    H - Specifies the 16-bit DMA channel
    P - Specifies the MPU-401 base I/O port
V - Overrides the speaker volume (must be 1 to 15)
T - Specifies the type of card:
        1 - Sound Blaster 1.5
        2 - Sound Blaster Pro I
        3 - Sound Blaster 2.0
4 - Sound Blaster Pro II
        5 - Sound Blaster Pro II/FM Synthesis
        6 - Sound Blaster 16/AWE 32/32/64

 Notes:

Since all the ports are virtualized, the information provided here
does not have to match the real hardware settings.

To disable the sound blaster support, specify an invalid
base I/O port address. For example:

       SET BLASTER=A0

Dndbbs only reads the base I/O port, and the 8-bit DMA channel.

To set the blaster volume from 1 to 15 use:

       SET BLASTERVOLUME=15

Note: If DSP version returns 255.255 then the card is unavailable.
