Updating From v2.1 To v2.1 A
=============================

Copy TRAPPER.EXE, TRAPPER.SLB, TP_SETUP.EXE, TP_EDIT.EXE & TRAPPER.NPD
into the game directory overwriting any existing files and this should do it.

Fixes And/Or Changes
====================
  NOTE: Most updates mentioned in the (Letter) release where made to
        all JNS Software Door Games. These are maintenace releases except
        where mentioned otherwise. Also some editors for JNS Doors where
        not complete at the time of this release. But will soon follow for
        each door. I didn't want to hold up the release because of the
        DAT editors.

  * Added new Multi-Node setup which makes setting up a breeze.

  * Made Setup & Editor external to main game EXE file. This free's up
    more memory when the door executes. Also fixes a lock-up problem with
    setup on some CPU's.

  * Colorized help text.

  * Done some general updating of code which should improve performance and
    possibly stop a few of those glitches some have experienced.

Updating from v2.0 to v2.1
==========================
This game can be upgraded without distrubing the on-going game. All scores
will be preserved. How ever you must run the converter below to save the
Champion's data.

Instructions
------------
Copy TRAPPER.EXE, TRAPPER.HPS & TRAPPER.SLB into and over the old files.

Run the TP20TO21.COM converter. This will update the TRAPPER.CHP file.

Edit the doors calling batch file and remove the configuration file named
from the command line. Add any other command line options you may want. See
the documentation file for a list of options.

If you are running a Multi-Node BBS then read the documentation under the
heading Multi-Node Setup. These changes must be made for the door to
operate for the door now uses environment variables for Com Port and Node
information. The door makes use of a single configuration file.

Fixes & Changes:
----------------

  * Now automatically detects and adjusts screen to 25 line mode for RIP
    Graphics. This stops the scrunching look on the users term.

  * Built in Setup program that use to be external. It will now also read in
    the games current .CFG file when executed if one is found. Support for
    environment variables were added and you know have to specify SETUP on the
    command line to execute it.

  * Built in user score (.DAT) editor. This will allow you to edit players
    scores and other data if need be. Just specify EDIT on the command line.

  * Added a new program in ALL game packages named JNSCHAMP that will allow
    editing of the Champion data. This will work for all JNS Software Games.
    See the documentation file for details.

  * Made major changes to the way this and all other JNS doors handle Multi-
    node support. The game now uses enviroment variables in the configuration
    file thus eliminating the need for multiple configuration files. See the
    documentation file for details.

  * Fixed bug that was causing duplicate scores to apprear. This was happening
    in several JNS Door Games.

  * With the above change the configuration is not read from the command line.

  * Added Fossil Support. See FOSSIL.TXT for more information.

  * When using the fossil option an 'F' is now attached to the users baud
    rate like 'Baud: 9600 F'.

  * When using a Node ID environment variable in the configuration file the
    game will now attach the Node ID on the SysOp statis line to the baud
    rate like 'Baud: 9600 / Node 1'. This is handy when running DESQview.

  * Made the opening full screen optional. See documentation for details.

  * Added the comment line for dedications in the configuration file.

  * Changed and added color to the opening registration screen.

  * With this version evaluation key's are no longer needed. In an attempt
    to make evaluating games easier I've decided to move to a new approach
    that requires no additional calls or files.

  * Starting with this version when evaluating, the game will run for 21 days
    then do a complete data reset. This will reset game scores to null but
    continue to run for the 30 day period. When registered with-in 21 days
    you will recieve a Registered KEY file that will stop the game from
    resetting and the game can continue with the current scores intact.

  * In the Registered Version the game will allow the Make-Up, Play Ahead,
    Bulletin Maker and Editor to function. These features are not available
    in the un-registered version.

  * Added a SPLIT command line option to give the sysop something different
    to look at. With this option it will split the registration box off the
    screen instead of the old clear screen. Just a toy.

   END
