Scenery File Requirements:

80486 computer recommended (or 80386DX-33/40 minimum)
USA East Scenery (Sublogic)
Microsoft Flight Simulator 4 or 5
Microsoft Aircraft and Scenery Designer (ASD)
Mallard Sound, Graphics, and Aircraft Upgrade (optional)
Microsoft MS-DOS Version 5 or above

**** SET YOUR STATIC MEMORY TO 45K and DYNAMIC MEMORY TO 10K ****
If you are having problems getting this scenery to work, I recommend
downloading my ASD_TIPS (was uploaded in Feb 1994) from the Compuserve
FSFORUM. I have found that 627K minimum free is required and EMM386
or any CD ROM drivers must NOT be loaded...FS4 MUST be loaded HIGH.

The scenery files were developed on an 80486 33 MHz PC and are usable
with little problem on machines with an 80386-33 MHz and faster.

** THESE FILES MAY BE FREELY COPIED HOWEVER THEY ARE NOT TO BE SOLD! **

NOTE for FS5 Users:
These files were designed for use with Microsoft Flight Simulator 4.
I have not tested them on FS5 however if you want to run them with FS5
then you must have at least 4 meg of RAM installed on
your computer with USA-EAST installed for use with FS5. These scenery
files should be copied to the FS5\SCENERY directory. The major problem
that I have found is that FS5 no longer covers up some of the hidden
'night lights' lines during the day. Don't forget that you will not see
any runways when using FS5a however FS5 should be OK except for random
lockups.

Summary: (Rhode Island East / West )

This set of scenery files covers the state of Rhode Island and
is designed for use with SubLogic's USA EAST Scenery. These files
include both SEE Enhanced (Scenery Enhancement Editor by Laemming
Wheeler/MALLARD) and normal ASD files. I tried to keep scenery file sizes
as small as possible for each scenery file. Maximum size is 45K.

These files are designed more for middle/high altitude flying and
contain most of the larger terrain details. Night effects have been added.
Highlights of these files include:
1. Westerly (WST) airport has a 2 parked CESSNAs.
Taxiways are filled in. This airport is right on the border with my
Eastern Connecticut scenery so if you are just to the west of the
airport, you may not see the details at WST. I recommend that if
you are flying near WST that you start out at the end of RY 07
and head northeast. (Or manually load RISW.SC1)
2. Richmond airport (RI04) has some detail added.
3. Block Island airport (BID) has taxiways and parked aircraft. Block
Island is represented in geographic detail.
4. Providence Green Airport represented in detail. The terminal and the
parking garage have some windows. Note the parked commuter plane to the
north of the terminal. Parked Cessnas are near the hangers.
There are cars travelling on the road that runs along RY 5 and by
   the terminal.
5. The Newport and Jamestown bridges are depicted as well as the
new expressway under construction on Jamestown Island.
6. North Central airport (SFZ) has taxiways filled in. Note that this
airport is on the border between the PVD and NW RI scenery. I did
not make the transition very well so you will see two different
depictions depending on whether you approach from the north or south!
7. Quonset State (OQU) has taxiways filled in. This is a former Navy base.
8. Newport State (2N4) has taxiways filled in and aircraft are on site.
9. Rhode Island appears to have many lakes etc. They are all contained
   in this set of files.

No new radio beacons or ILS radio frequencies were added. I recommend
obtaining the NOAA Airport/Facilities Directory for the Northeast or
FLIGHT GUIDE AIRPORT and FREQUENCY MANUAL Volume III published by
Airguide Publications for ILS frequencies and VORs. These documents
are available from Sporty's Pilot Shop or similar sources. I used
marine maps, regular road maps, and visits for scenery placement.
The scenery is not always exact but it certainly is close enough
for everyone except the purists...

Colored polygons were added in some areas for effect. I don't like
the colors in FS4 but have no choice but to accept them and make
the most of it.

Scenery areas include the following areas:
