CHICAGO, IL - June 23, 1994 - Accolade, Inc., one of the world's leading
interactive entertainment publishers, has announced the fall release of
Ballz, the first truly 3-D fighting game for 16-bit video systems. In an
agreement reached just hours prior to the start of the Consumer
Electronics Show here in Chicago, Accolade was selected by PF. Magic, a
San Francisco-based developer of interactive entertainment products, as
the exclusive worldwide publisher and marketer of Ballz.

Scheduled for release on both Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo Entertainment
Systems, Ballz features a hilarious line-up of 16 unique characters and
bosses that are constructed from combinations of colorful and
differently-sized balls. This fun, irreverent, one or two player game, is
a bruising, amusing "brawl for all", pitting the characters and their
outrageous "moves with attitude" against each other.

"Gamers deserve more than just tired reruns of the same old, flat, 2-D
side-scrolling fighting games," explained Rob Fulop, Creative Director at
PF. Magic, "So we invented Ballz, a completely fresh, totally hysterical
3D fighting game, with an innovative look and breakthrough gameplay that
we believe will redefine the fighting game category."

The combatants in Ballz each have 15-20 different and special fighting
moves, three times more than flat 2-D fighting games. For example, the
ballerina, Divine, can grab and spank her opponents; the gorilla, Yoko,
can swing and back flip from virtual trees; and the sumo wrestler,
Tsunami, can belly charge, karate chop and do flying somersault kicks,
landing on his opponent's head. The victor in a two-player game can direct
the InstantReplay feature from almost any camera angle, even overhead.

The Genesis version of Ballz, together with Accolade's Zero Tolerance game,
will be the first games that will be Edge-16 compatible. The Edge-16 is a
peripheral device developed by PF. Magic for AT&T, which allows
point-to-point communication and custom game enhancement, including the
updating of statistics, new characters, and new levels of stages through
the use of Edge Cards.

"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to add Ballz to Accolade's winning
line-up of tides. Ballz fits right in with our company's broad based
consumer focus," says Peter Harris, President and CEO of Accolade.
"Likewise," noted John Scull, Managing Director of PF. Magic, "With the
feedback we've received on Ballz, we believe it will have an excellent
home with Accolade's successful and well-known line-up of cartridge-based
tides."

San Jose-based Accolade is a leading worldwide developer and publisher of
interactive entertainment products across a broad base of systems. Its
products are published under the Accolade and Sport Accolade labels,
featuring such products as Bubsy, Zero Tolerance, Fire Team Rogue and
HardBall '94 in addition to endorsements from such sports greats as Jack
Nicklaus, Charles Barkley and Pele.

PF. Magic is an interactive entertainment company, developing original
games and products on many consumer platforms. This fall, the company will
publish Pataank, via an Affiliated Label agreement with Crystal Dynamics,
a highly kinetic point-of-view pinball game for the 3DO player and Jack
Flash vs. The Crimson Ghost an interactive "MovieGame."
