STEREOGRAPHICS INTRODUCES NEW HI-RES VIDEO CAMERA FOR 3D LOCATION AND
STUDIO APPLICATIONS

Camera for CrystalEyes VideoSystem Now Available to Professional Video
Community for Production of Dramatic 3D Stereo Presentations

San Rafael, CA -- July 18, 1994 -- StereoGraphics Corporation, the world's
largest supplier of three-dimensional electronic stereo display equipment,
announced a new high-resolution Stereo Video Camera for professional field
and studio applications. The new camera features motorized control of all
functions critical to the camera operator and a simplified initial set-up
procedure for specific shooting conditions.

This stereo camera system completes StereoGraphics' end-to-end CrystalEyes
VideoSystem which enables high resolution full-color video true
stereoscopic 3D images to be simultaneously viewed and transmitted or
recorded and played back with a single VCR, Betacam-SP or laser disk.

Dick Martin, StereoGraphics' president, said, 'Our new stereo video camera
is a must for creative professionals who can now add realistic depth to
the full spectrum of film and video production for maximum viewer
impact.'

Martin cited the camera's use in the successful production of a dramatic
new 3D corporate video presentation that Iridium, Inc., is using to help
garner investor support for its $3.4 billion satellite communications
project. This network will provide subscribers with a universal telephone
number that can reach them anywhere in the world.

StereoGraphics video systems are already in use in a wide variety of film
and video applications including corporate presentations, surgical
laparoscopy, microscopy and arthroscopy as well as microscopic
manufacturing process control, education and training, industrial video,
entertainment video and others.

The new video camera features three 0.5-inch CCD (charge-coupled device)
color prism-mounted heads and a full 720 TVL resolution per left/right
image. Motorized operator controls include 16X zoom lenses (6.7mm to
107mm); focus (40-inches to infinity); f 1.4 to closed aperture (automatic
or manual); ZPS (40-inches to infinity); and interaxial spacing (3- to
6-inch range). The lenses are also threaded for attachment of wide angle
converters. An operator's stereo viewfinder is included as standard
equipment. Optional sun shades mounted on the top and sides of the camera
eliminate direct glare.

The camera features a weather-resistant, high-impact ABS enclosure and is
designed to be used in either studio or on location. A remote electronics
console contains support electronics for interfacing with a standard Sony
Betacam-SP Recorder, a video drive for high-resolution color monitors and
timing for sync control of the video signals. The StereoGraphics camera is
also Steadicam compatible.

The CrystalEyes VideoSystem is NTSC and PAL compatible and works with
virtually all video equipment worldwide. The system requires no external
computer and consists of the View/Record Controller, Playback Controller,
three pairs of CrystalEyes active liquid crystal shuttering eyewear,
infrared emitter, 17-inch color stereo-ready interlacing monitor, output
cabling, wall mount 110/220V switching power supply and operation
manuals.
