STEREOGRAPHICS, ELECTROHOME TO SIGN WORLDWIDE DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT FOR 3D
STEREO PRODUCTS

StereoGraphics to Supply CrystalEyes For Electrohome Marquee Projectors,
Agreement Enables Both Companies To Capitalize On Broad 3D Markets

San Rafael, CA -- July 18, 1994 -- StereoGraphics Corporation, the world's
largest supplier of three-dimensional electronic stereo display equipment,
said that it has signed a letter of agreement to become the exclusive OEM
supplier of stereoscopic viewing systems to Electrohome Projection
Systems, Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. The agreement will make
StereoGraphics products available to Electrohome's network of
dealer/distributors and audiovisual specialists in the U.S., Europe, the
Asian/Pacific market and the rest of the world. Terms of the agreement
were not disclosed.

'Large screen stereo projection is now state-of-the-art and revolutionizing
corporate presentations and university education,' said Wil Cochran,
StereoGraphics' vice president of sales and marketing. Cochran cited ways
that complex concepts are communicated to groups using stereo projection
systems. Examples include students of molecular biology, chemistry and
engineering; doctors training in surgery with large screen 3D projections
of the human body; video teleconferencing at corporate presentations, as
well as battlefield simulations conducted by the U.S. government. Also, a
whole new segment of the entertainment industry now offers group virtual
reality experiences.

'Electrohome and StereoGraphics are recognized as leaders in their
respective fields,' said David Lowater, president and COO of Electrohome's
Electronics Group. 'For years our companies' products have been specified
as the most reliable, compatible components in a stereoscopic projection
system. Formally tying the knot in this long-term relationship positions
both companies for rapid growth across a variety of markets.'

StereoGraphics' CrystalEyes(g Stereo Projection System enables any number
of people to view projected computer images in true three-dimensional
stereo. Electrohome's Marquee 8000 Data Projector is used to project the
3D stereo images onto screens from eight- to 25-feet in diameter. Also
available is an enclosed 67-inch diagonal rear-projection unit for viewing
3D stereo images in bright rooms.

'The difference between trying to communicate a concept using a flat image
and a lifelike three-dimensional image is so dramatic that our equipment
sells itself,' Cochran said. 'Plus the availability of easy-to-use,
3D-ready software has put the ability to make eye-popping presentations in
the hands of the mainstream user.'

CrystalEyes stereo electronics displays separate left and right fields
which are alternated at high-speed onto the screen for viewing through the
eyewear. Because the untethered CrystalEyes glasses are synchronized with
the projected 3D stereo image by the infrared emitter, any number of users
can simultaneously view the display with complete freedom of movement.

CrystalEyes is available in two configurations based on group size,
application and cost. For small to medium-size groups, viewers wear
StereoGraphics patented, lightweight active CrystalEyes wireless
shuttering glasses which allows them to interact with the screen image in
real-time via a keyboard. StereoGraphics also offers low-cost, passive
polarizing glasses designed for distribution to large groups. With the
passive eyewear, the electronics are integrated into a shuttering lens,
called a ZScreen, which is attached to the data projector. The ZScreen
configuration enables large groups of 100 or more to simultaneously view
3D objects and reduces the cost of eyewear.

Electrohome Projection Systems, established in 1979 and now a world leader
in the design, manufacture and marketing of high-brightness,
high-resolution color video/data/graphics projection systems, is part of
Electrohome Limited, which was founded in 1907. Electrohome projectors are
used by many of the world's leading organizations. Electrohome Projections
Systems can be reached at 809 Wellington St. N., Kitchener, Ontario,
Canada, N2G4J6, 519/749-3144, fax 519/749-3136.
