IBM bundles Triton's CoSession with the New ThinkPad Line of Notebook
Computers

IBM provides superior technical support using CoSession remote
communication software for the IBM Online Housecall support program

ISELIN, N.J., July 18, 1994 -- IBM, the industry's leading vendor of
personal computers, and Triton Technologies, a leading developer of remote
communication software, have announced that IBM will bundle Triton's
CoSession software with its new line of ThinkPad notebook computers.
CoSession will be used to provide the remote support capability included
with the new IBM Online Housecall program.

Imagine having a technical expert standing by your side at all times to
help you if you run into computer problems. With the new IBM Online
Housecall program, IBM provides ThinkPad customers with this type of
on-site service and support without having to make on-site service calls.
When a user experiences a problem that cannot be resolved easily over the
phone, IBM Help Center personnel may use CoSession to dial in, take
control of the ThinkPad and troubleshoot problems remotely.

With the IBM Online Housecall program, many technical problems can be
resolved in a fraction of the time it would have taken in the past. Using
CoSession, the technician can dial into an end user's ThinkPad and make
any configuration changes on-line, diagnose and fix problems with system
files such as SYSTEM.INI, WIN.INI, CONFIG.SYS, and AUTOEXEC.BAT, or even
upload updated files or drivers to get the user up and running in a few
minutes.

"IBM's selection of CoSession is the best endorsement a software company
can have," said Peter Byer, Triton's Director of Marketing and Sales. "IBM
thoroughly evaluated the leading remote communication software products,
and they chose CoSession. Their decision to bundle CoSession is a strong
statement that CoSession is a superior support solution," stated Mr. Byer.
"But more importantly, IBM's Online Housecall program creates a new
generation of support, which reinforces the importance of providing end
users with high quality, low cost support solutions," added Mr. Byer.

"IBM's Online Housecall program brings ThinkPad users the long-distance
troubleshooting capabilities that are so important to today's corporate PC
user," said Scott Bower, Director of Mobile Computing Brands for IBM. "The
IBM Online Housecall program benefits both IBM and ThinkPad users. We
become more efficient in solving their problems, and the user receives a
higher level of support, which increases their satisfaction and
appreciation of the ThinkPad product. We chose Triton and CoSession
because they meet our standards of excellence and share our commitment to
service and support," added Mr. Bower.
