   Several weeks ago, a vicious  hailstorm occurred near the town of
   Sampacho, in Cordoba, Argentina. The hail formed withing a
    supercell thunderstorm, a type of  severe thunderstorm with a
   deep rotating  updraft. These are the storms most often associated
   with  hail stones and tornadic weather. Individual stones from this
   storm were slightly larger than marbles. Photo taken on January 17,
   2023.
