What better news than news about this new QWK thing? 04/13/92

I'm just gonna make a few suggestions about setting up your off-line reader.
Remember, I know only a little about these things. I never used one before
last week, so if you have experience and I'm being an idiot, please be patient.

Screen Box. Bad. Synchronet allows messages to be up to 79 characters wide and
they often are. Disable this if you can so you can see the whole message.

Tag lines. Well... for your name or something, I guess it's okay. It's like
a macro, only I suggest staying away from those goofy random ones. They're not
very funny.

Beeping on private mail. This should be disabled. You know when you're reading
messages from the Email conference that are to you that it's private. The Email
conference is the only place private messages will be found.

You should replace the editor that the reader provides with something decent.
I'd suggest something that at least lets you enter ctrl-a codes, but any ASCII
editor will work. Use your favorite word processor with spell checking or
whatever.
